“Sustainable Cities” Research Meeting Held between UC Davis and OU

An online research meeting was held on 15 September between University of California, Davis (UC Davis) and Osaka University (OU). This meeting is positioned as a kick-off joint symposium in the field of sustainable cities and aims to deepen research exchanges. A total of 37 researchers and staff from both universities attended the meeting and actively exchanged opinions.

Prior to the meeting, Vice Provost and Dean Joanna Regulska from UC Davis and Executive Vice President KAWAHARA Genta from OU exchanged greetings. After that, researchers from both universities gave presentations on energy research strengths and transportation research strengths. In addition, there was information sharing about funding opportunities. Finally, researchers introduced themselves and had an open discussion to coordinate matching research fields offered at both universities.

Research collaboration on sustainable cities has started moving forward. Further details for the advancement of the collaboration will be continuously discussed.
