Osaka University (OU) has signed an MOU with Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) regarding student exchange through the Virtual Study Abroad Program in which each university will offer its online lecture courses. OU and SJTU will start to exchange students from the fall/winter semester of 2021.

This program will provide opportunities for students to attend classes at universities overseas online in a situation where international travel is restricted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will provide students with this new style of international exchange, a program that allows them to experience classes at overseas universities without going abroad, even after we can travel freely.
