Professor Tonya Kuhl from the University of California, Davis (UC Davis) visited the University of Osaka (UOsaka) on 8 December 2025. UC Davis and UOsaka have maintained a deep collaboration since signing a strategic partnership agreement in 2021, and Professor Kuhl has been the faculty lead of this agreement.

Executive Vice President Mikako HAYASHI and Professor Hiroshi UMAKOSHI of UOsaka welcomed Professor Kuhl to discuss future collaboration. Through this meeting, both universities discovered new ways of strengthening the partnership further. It is expected that these discussions will promote joint research and active student exchange including summer programs.
