Professor DING Kuiling, President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) visited Osaka University (OU) on 30 October 2024. SJTU and OU have had a deep and long collaboration history over the years, including SJTU becoming one of our Global Knowledge Partners in September 2021.  This visit marks the first time President DING has come to OU since he became the President of SJTU in February 2023.

President NISHIO Shojiro, Executive Vice President FUKASE Koichi, Executive Vice President YAMAMOTO Beverly Anne, and other OU members welcomed SJTU’s delegation. President NISHIO gave a short speech regarding his visits to SJTU in 2016 and 2017. Both universities discussed the future of their education and research collaboration.

It is expected that together we will make significant strides in addressing global challenges and shaping the future of education and research.
