HISADA Hitoshi, Regional Director of the ASEAN Center for Academic Initiatives, Osaka University (OU), visited Mahidol University (MU) for the first time in two years.

Although the COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted in-person international exchange over the past two years, MU and OU continued their collaboration on the ASEAN Campus Project.

On 18 May 2022, Director HISADA and Professor HONDA Kohsuke from the International Center for Biotechnology visited MU’s Faculty of Science. They discussed measures and precautions to follow when future OU students visiting MU for field study are infected with COVID-19.


On 19 May, Director HISADA was also able to have a meeting with the International Relations Division. They discussed further collaboration between MU and OU, especially student mobility after the pandemic.

Both meetings were productive and good opportunities to strengthen the post-pandemic relationship between MU and OU.
