An online high-level meeting between the Faculty of Medicine of the University of British Columbia (UBC) and the Center for Infectious Disease Education and Research (CiDER) of Osaka University was held on 10 February 2022. Professor MATSUURA Yoshiharu (Director, CiDER) and Professor Robert McMaster (Vice Dean, Research of Faculty of Medicine, UBC) shared the research interests of each organization. As a result of the discussions, both sides agreed to pursue collaborations in research and education and to hold an online symposium in 2022.
