Immunology is one of the core research areas in which Osaka University has been pursuing a collaborative partnership with UCL through OU’s Global Knowledge Partnership project. This collaboration has now entered a new phase with the Immunology Frontier Research Center (IFReC) at OU, which conducts world-leading research.
Recently, IFReC secured Core-to-Core Program funding from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) to support an international network dedicated to advanced research on human immunology for the project period of April 2021 - March 2026. The funding aims to create world-class research hubs in research fields considered cutting-edge and internationally important in Japan [1].
IFReC is implementing the project with two international partners: University College London (UCL) and ImmunoSensation² of the University of Bonn. Specifically, they will conduct joint research, joint seminars, and promote researcher exchange.
