To commemorate Osaka University’s 90th and the Osaka University of Foreign Studies' 100th anniversary, Osaka University held the Osaka University Anniversary Lecture Series, a special online lecture program offered to students at our partner universities. OU professors in various fields ranging from the natural sciences to the humanities delivered these lectures, and students participated in discussions on the latest research.

Although student exchange activities have been limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we believe there is still an opportunity to strengthen the connections with our partner universities through digital transformation (DX).

We offered 11 courses, and “solving societal issues” was set as the common theme. Around 1400 students from 42 partner universities joined this special program. Students who met the requirements of each course have received the academic transcript and certificate of completion.

We expect that new methods such as hybrid classes combining online and on-demand will increase international students to have more opportunities to study and research at Osaka University.
