A Joint Research Workshop with The University of Melbourne Held at the Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Osaka

The workshop titled "Innovative Nanomaterials for a Renewable and Sustainable Future" was held at the Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Osaka, on 27-28 March 2025.

This workshop was organized at the proposal of Associate Professor Helena Wang from the Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at The University of Melbourne and served as a platform for exchanging ideas for future collaborative research. Researchers and students from both universities participated, introducing their respective research and experimental techniques, while identifying and discussing potential collaborative research themes.

From The University of Melbourne, Associate Professor Wang, one researcher, and one student visited Osaka and toured the Furukawa Laboratory, deepening mutual understanding through the visit to the research facilities. Additionally, two young researchers and four students from The University of Osaka participated, and the achievements of the students have heightened expectations for future academic exchanges and collaboration.

Based on the outcomes of this workshop, both universities plan to continue collaborative research and apply for international external funding.
