Inochi Forum
“Inochi” is a Japanese term signifying the sanctity of life and can be further defined as something worthy to be respected, not only for humans but also for other creatures’ lives and way of living, where individuality and potential are celebrated.
In collaboration with the economic sector, public sector, local universities as well as institutions worldwide, the University of Osaka has launched the Inochi Forum project by creating a platform for people to share their voices, discuss social issues, and work together towards solutions, shaping a future society and forming a collective voice for a global movement. It emphasizes the value of Inochi and promotes actions to transcend national, cultural, and social boundaries, aligning with the UN’s SDGs principle of “Leaving No One Behind.”
